Erin N.
Executive Director
Erin, Executive Director, joined the Colorado Lions Camp team in November 2018. She was born and raised in Kansas and attended Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas. There she earned her Bachelor's degree in Recreation and Sports Management. Her career in camps has given her a wide range of experiences. She has served as a Camp Counselor, Aquatics Director, Program Director, Camp Director, and now Executive Director.
Erin has been involved in various boards and committees. She has sat on the ACA Illinois board for over 10 years and within that organization was the membership chair for ACA Illinois. She also served on the Mid States Camping Committee, where not only she organized the 3-day conference but also lead sessions on raising a family in the camping world. She built her career as the director at Camp Red Leaf where she took the camp from 200 children and adults to 800 in her tenure there. She had the opportunity to make the camp more accessible by adding a treehouse, sensory room, and open floor plans for campers to get around with no limitations.
Witnessing firsthand the impact camp has on the campers, it also has an impact on the staff as well. Camp allows you to experience what outside the box means and how you will be the world to one person. Erin lives by the quote, "to the world you maybe one person, but to one person you maybe the world."
Brenna B.
Business Manager
Brenna, Business Manager, joined the Colorado Lions Camp team in December of 2019. Her time at camp did not start there however, she got her start at Colorado Lions Camp as a Counselor both in the summer and at our Respite Programs. From there she continued on to different Program Staff Roles.
After working a summer at camp Brenna fell in love equally with our campers, the camp, and the mission. Having spent time with and working with children and adults with disabilities her whole life, she knew camp is exactly what she wanted to do.
She is a Colorado Native, born and raised in the Woodland Park area. When she isn't at camp she enjoys reading, spending time with her friends, family, and dog, and grabbing a coffee. She lives by the quote “If you had it all figured out today, there would be nothing to learn tomorrow.”
Where We Are and What We Do
There isn't a better view than the one out our lodge windows. Located in Pike National Forest and just a few miles outside Woodland Park, Colorado. Our camp offers a variety of programs throughout the year, including week-long summer camp sessions (Sunday to Friday) and weekend respite camps (Thursday/Friday to Sunday).
