A number of volunteer opportunities exist at the Colorado Lions Camp for special populations. During our summer sessions, which run each year from early June through late August, several opportunities for interaction with campers or in a support role are offered for volunteers ages 16 and up. Opportunities include staffing or assisting with the delivery of an activity which includes aquatics, arts and crafts, nature, and games. Other opportunities include assisting the camp in a support role. These may include assisting with food service, grounds maintenance, or office support.
If you are interested in any of these areas or if you have a special talent you would like to share, contact the camp office for details about how you can make a difference in the lives of those with special needs. No experience is necessary, on-site housing and meals are available to volunteers.

Sharing your time and talent with our campers.
Grilling hot dogs and hamburgers for Sunday night's dinner when our campers check-in and helping serve dinner. We have many Lions Clubs that help out and it is a great way to meet our campers and SERVE.
Assist with Sunday camper check-in: helping with luggage, sitting and talking with the campers and their families, or help our counselors. There are many ways you can help.
Can you help transport a camper to camp?
Do you like to work outside? We always need help with groundskeeping and gardening. It takes a lot of work to keep this place looking at its best!
We always need extra hands during our camp programs. How about chaperoning a field trip or leading a craft in our craft lodge? Do you like nature? We love having volunteers that have a special skill or hobby share that with our campers and our staff.
We can always use help in the office with filing, mailings, and prepping for the following week's camp session.
There are so many MORE opportunities waiting for you!
